#233 Blue and Gray

Dickinson's #233 has much debate against it being a Civil War poem... I think it is... Used the Dickinson Lexicon to help me as much as possible, but even that was fighting against me.


A Slash of Blue! A sweep of Gray! 
Some scarlet patches - on the way - 
Compose an evening sky - 

A little Purple - slipped between - 
Some Ruby Trousers - hurried on - 
A Wave of Gold - A Bank of Day - 
This just makes out the Morning Sky!
